CELEB: Head of Formula 1 Racing and Billionaire, Bernie Ecclestone has 2 two daughter/heirs.  London socialite and reality-star, Tamara, 27 and sister, Petra, 22, LA socialite.  Petra recently got married in a 5-12 million-dollar, mega-bash to businessman, James Stunt and is now living in Candy Spelling's (Tori's Mom) old digs.   Tamara was recently asked by ES Magazine-London what was the best party she had ever been to. 

NUGGETS: * My sister Petra's wedding was the best party I've been to.  It was the most beautiful setting, Odescalchi Castle in Italy. (Tom-Kat married there too). The weather was perfect, the food was incredible and The Black Eyed Peas performed.'  

* My mum, Slavica wanted it to be amazing because Petra is only going to get married once.

* Tamara: 'My party-trick is dong a shot without using my hands.  My boyfriend taught me and people are normally quite impressed. 

* I'm one of those people who never wants the party to end and have to be literally kicked out of the door.

Makeup Arist, Marie Beaubien (or Ri-Ri for short... one of the many things I've called her) and I worked together on photo shoots for years.  She did the face... I got 'em dressed.
 
There were times on set when we couldn't even look at each other.  The threat of us bursting into cackling laughter loomed - like one of our over-full glasses of char-doe-nay teetering on the edge of the Bar Marmont... Disaster waiting to happen.  Don't look.
 
Day after day, I watched her transform mere mortals into mega, sex-bombs. 
Models would ogle themselves in the mirror where we dressed them...trying to figure out how to mimic her genius after the makeup came off.
 
The A-List's Motto has always been...'Why should only celebs, models and the rich-and-famous get to know all the tips and tricks?!  We all should!  And Marie thinks so too!

Favorite Beauty Product?

• MOISTURIZER!!!!!!   Working in this industry, I’m always amazed by the number of women and men who don’t moisturize their skin daily.  IT WILL KEEP YOUR SKIN LOOKING YOUNGER!  IT’S A FACT!  Even if you have oily skin and are prone to breakouts, don’t be afraid of moisturizing.  Ask a dermatologist to steer you to one that will be suitable for you.  It doesn’t matter, you can spend $$$$ or purchase some really wonderful affordable drugstore brands.  Just start moisturizing, please.
• SUNSCREEN: Of course you all know the benefits.  I say this loudly especially to women of color (African American/Black, Latin, Asian, etc.) that sunscreen these days is imperative.  We are no longer exempt from the damages the sun can do.

• SEX: Yes, I said sex!  A romp does wonders for your skin : ) 

Favorite Hair Product?



• Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray, WOW on volume and texture!  Also great to use instead of a dry shampoo for oily roots.



• Dr. Miracle’s Anti-Breakage Strengthening Crème, does exactly what it says.  It’s light and not greasy!  I recommend it to some of my clients and I use it as well.  You can find it in the Black Hair Care section of your drugstore or beauty supply.

Favorite Cosmetics?



• Armani Luminous Silk Foundation, gives a beautiful radiant look to the skin without being heavy!  Gorgeous shades that you can mix to create your own tone.  One of my favorites for work.

• Smashbox Oil-Free Photo Finish, is a great primer that will keep your makeup on and looking fresh throughout the day.



• Kevyn Aucoin Concealer, if you have circles… this will take it out.  VERY little goes a long way.  Comes in an array of shades!

• Maybelline Lash Discovery, I am obsessed with the mini brush.  It gets every single lash.  I even use it with other mascaras just for that mini brush!  Needless to say… I go through A LOT of those!



• Aquaphor, is what I use to the prep the lips before I start doing anything to a face.  At home, I use it for my hands, cuticles, elbows, heels, and on my face during the winter.  It’s one of my faves! 

Last Fashion item you bought?



• Steve Madden ‘Banddit’ boots that I just bought online!  Perfect for work or play, comfortable, and the softest leather.  I get compliments on them left and right.  Love them!!!! 



• Michael Kors Irving Bootie in black suede. AND, oh these are a beauty.  I’m excited just writing about them!  They are FIERCE!!!!!!  I can dress them up or down.  Dare I say how comfortable they are?  I wore them to a friend’s wedding and danced all night in them!  These will be a part of my closet for a very long time. 

Last Beauty Product you bought?



• Wet-n-Wild Brow pencil.  It’s one of my favorite brow pencils.  The Brown/dk. Brown color is nice; the texture isn’t too hard or too soft.  And let’s not mention the $1 price tag.  Gotta love it!!!  Wonderful taupe shade for blondes too!

Favorite Music or Artist?

As a music fanatic, my taste runs the gamut!  But, to name a few…

• THE CLASH, what can’t be said about them?  Pioneers, rebels, “the only band that matters.” 
• SADE, she will be there for you when you fall in love and during heartbreak.  I actually got to meet her this past year after her amazing Los Angeles concert, she is the epitome of the word COOL!  I am proud to say that I didn’t make a complete arse of myself!
• ETTA JAMES, they don’t make them like that anymore!  Period! 
• TABOU COMBO, my favorite Haitian (my family is from Haiti) band since I was a kid.  Well known in many parts of the world.  They write beautiful music, and even if you can’t understand what they’re saying, you will be dancing! 
• 80’s New Wave/Punk

Favorite Films?

   Next Friday?  Talks of a sequel are in the works...

• The Bridges of Madison County rips my heart out every time.  When he says to her, “This kind of certainty comes but once in a lifetime” I stop breathing!
• Carrie is one of my top three favorite movies!  Creepy, fun, and fantastic acting.  I mean, Piper Laurie as the loony bible quoting mom?!  Come on!  It doesn’t get any better.
• Friday with Chris Tucker and Ice Cube is pure comedy at it’s finest.  It will never get old! 

Tech/Gadgets you use?

• Ipod is my lifeline.  I’d be a walking dribbling basket case if I didn’t have music.  Truly soothes my soul, inspires me, and takes me there.  I once heard a great quote, “the only thing missing in life is background music.”
• MYTUBO photo app on my Droid
• BEATBOX boombox by Dr. Dre… the sound is INSANE!!!!!!  Just ask my neighbors!

Health/Vitamins products you like?

• A chewable daily multivitamin
• Garlic pills are wonderful for keeping the immune system strong
• Flax/Fish Oil caps are great for cholesterol, heart disease, keeps the skin soft
• B-12 for my metabolism
• Bayers children’s aspirin
• GT’s Kombucha from Whole Foods.  I drink one bottle a day: Green Tea, Original, or Gingerade. 

 Favorite Shopping Website(s)?

• Amazon.com!  I have quite a few nephews, nieces, and godchildren so it’s awesome for shopping for their gifts.  I can order it and directly ship it to them.  I also love to get music, books and movies from there.  It’s a one-stop shop! 
• Piperlime.com and…
• Zappos.com for my shoes, shoes, shoes!  It’s a small addiction but it’s a lovely addiction.   

What’s always on your Grocery List?

• Fage Plain Low Fat Greek yogurt!  It is my weapon for taking weight off and keeping it off.  Sometimes I add little Agave to it for a sweet tooth attack.
• Eggs
• Water, I drink TONS of it!!!
• Atkins Bars are the perfect snacks for those mid day hunger pangs. 

 Favorite Junk Food?

• ICE CREAM!!!!!!!! Mint Chip or Peanut Butter Cup flavors.   I NEVER buy it for home or else I’d live off of it!  I’ll indulge at Baskin Robbins for a scoop once a month, especially on a cold day.  Yummmy!

Newest Obsession?

• Angry Birds!  I played it for the first time with my twin 4 year-old godsons over the holidays and was HOOKED.  I actually told them to keep the Ipad away from me! 

Best Gift You Have Ever Received?

• There's nothing like when someone says something to you that just makes your heart beat faster... then...stop.  All within the same moment.   I’m not going to share what was said - but I will never for get it.  It is truly is one the best gifts I have ever received!

Great Gift idea for Holidays?

• Instead of exchanging gifts, I love going out for a really posh dinner with friends to celebrate a Birthday, The Holidays or to toast The New Year!

Best Advice or something you’ve learned in your career?

 

• “Always give 110% everyday no matter how ‘easy’ the job is.  That way, no matter what happens, you know you always did your best!”

What else would you like to do or accomplish?

I’d like to get my BLUSHMAMA BEAUTY BAR off the ground and running full speed.  It’s a fun day of learning to do it yourself makeup party!  Girlfriends, champagne, and makeup!  All the tips and tricks you’ve always wanted to know about… I will teach you.  If it’s the natural or office look you want… you will learn.  If it’s a smoky or cat eye you’ve always wondered about… you will learn.  How to shape your eyebrows yourself?  You will leave knowing exactly what to do.  It’s a great day for a birthday, bridal shower, bachelorette party, girls brunch, or just to get a group of friends together!  I’m not just saying it because I’m ‘Blushmama’, but it really is a fun and informative day!
