Fashion Week Favorite: Erin Fetherston

THE LIST 

SHOW: Erin Fetherston Presentation - "Charmed" - New York Fashion Week

SCENE: The Great Room at W New York - Union Square.  Beautiful ballroom, playful elegance and lots of "Voga Italia" bubbles.

DESIGNER: All eyes were on the beautiful, blond - Erin Fetherston.

INSPIRATION: The Barbizon Hotel.  The legendary residence where future starlets, Grace Kelly, Cybil Shepard, Candice Bergen and Edith Bouvier Beale among others - spent time in their pursuit of glamour and fame. 

LOOKS: "Evening with a wink".  Organzas, sequins and Jacquards made up party perfect, cocktail dresses, sheaths and gowns with a stunning "Chartreuse Botanical Lace" gown with a plunging neckline as the standout. 

WEAR: When you want to be "THE LOOK" of the party.

Fashion Week Favorite: Charlotte Ronson

THE LIST

SHOW: Charlotte Ronson Fall/Winter 2014 Presentation - Mercedes Benz Fashion Week

SCENE: The Hub at The Hudson Hotel.  Very "NYC"... Down, down into an underground space that opened up to a large stage with Ronson's muses telling the story of "a cryptic and cute woman compelled by mystery and darkness."  Sister, world famous DJ, Samantha Ronson, layed down the tracks. 

DESIGNER: Charlotte Ronson  of the multi-talented Ronson/Dexter-Jones family

LOOKS: Tailored separates, jackets and cropped sweaters blended with Ronson's signature scalloped details, black on black leather rose embroidery and feminine meets masculine style.   A particular dress with sheer inserts drew a lot of attention as did the poppy-print dresses.

WEAR: Charlotte Ronson's designs are 'IT' Girl staples.  Easily dressed up or down they the perfect companions to Sunday 'drunch' with Harry, Chung and Moss in London or New York City nights.

While MBFW was a (freezing cold, snowy, icy) blast and New York itself was always serving up... (Breakfast at The Smith.  Dinner at Crown.  Too much wine at The Plaza.  - Harry's Bar was closed) - It's time to don your L. Catherine coat & head to London-baby!

To get you on your way - We've put together your...

London A-List:

Where London-Girls-With-Jobs actually shop:  

• Peter Jones - For the basics like tights, socks & after a night in platforms... some low-heeled boots. (plus it's near Sloane Street - the Rodeo Drive of London.)

Rx Etc:

• John Bell & Croyden for all things OTC, Rx, vitamins, skin matters, hair helpers, herbal remedies, travel-musts, incense... you name it. 

Bottoms Up:

• Around 5pm do as the Londoner's do and head to the nearest pub.  (Note to all 'the single-ladies':  for man-candy head to The City.  Pick a pub... any pub and sail the 'Sea-of-Suits'.  
• In Mayfair after dusk?  Hedonism Wine on Davies Street.  What's better?  The design or the wine? (only go after the sun has set...).

Escape To Marylebone:

• Best place to start?  Top of the street off Marylebone Road (if you want to hit The Conran Shop) or 1/2 block down at Devonshire Street where the real fun begins... 
• Breakfast - The Providores for the best Turkish Eggs of your life.  (or save yourself for dinner and sup insane combo's of delectable tapas.).
• Walk it off on Marylebone's High Street (conveniently named... Marylebone High Street).  
• Shop:  By Malene Birger, Matches, Le Fromagerie, the Cancer Research UK Charity Shop (secret London!)  Kabiri, Cox & Power & more.
• Take a couple of 1/2 block detours to see Trilogy & Austique.  Both unique-to-London boutiques & have exclusive designs.

Lunch:

• The Wallis Collection .  Treasures await you inside.  You MUST have lunch under the massive sky light/roof in the beautiful French Courtyard inspired setting.  A true London hidden-gem.

Last:

• Have a drink at 'The Marylebone'.  Everyone else is...
